“We had our work cut out for us this year after wisely choosing Taylor Swift to perform last year. She went on to be a major success in the country music world, selling one hit CD after another and winning prominent country music awards. We are confident that we have made another great choice this year by contracting with country newcomer Lady Antebellum to perform a free to the public festival on Sat. March 29th.”
The last year has been a whirlwind for Lady Antebellum, but band members haven’t had any problems staying focused on the road ahead. Just a few months after landing a recording deal with Capitol Records in Nashville, the trio of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood is poised for a leap to some of country music’s biggest stages.
Lady A’s debut single “Love Don’t Live Here” is getting a warm reception on country radio stations while their first CD is slated to be released in a couple of months. Later this week the Nashville-based trio will be out on the road with Martina McBride and Jack Ingram as part of McBride’s nationwide Waking Up Laughing tour.
To help promote their single they have been on a radio tour, traveling all over the country. Along the way they’ve opened for the likes of Carrie Underwood, Josh Turner and Phil Vassar. The band has tried to soak up as much knowledge as possible watching the headliners ply their craft.
We believe that we have struck gold again. Be prepared for a great night of entertainment.
